Where in the World?

Penguins waddle on the icy shore.
Their hungry, baby chicks squawk “I want more!”
A cold, wind blows from the South Pole.
In between the icebergs, the whales breech and roll.
The leopard seals roar at the Southern sky.

Where in the world? Antarctica

Mountains rise out of the Pacific Ocean.
On the beach, the sunbathers are putting on lotion.
The word “Aloha” floats on the breeze.
Kilauea pumps lava to the sea.
The hula dancers shake upon the sand.

Where in the world? Hawaii

The morning rains have washed the city clean.
The Space Needle shines over the evergreens.
Mount Rainier sleeps upon a cloud.
At the Seahawks game, there’s a screamin’ crowd.
The eagles fly over Lake Washington.

Where in the world? Seattle
