I was born in 1962 and, still grooving to the steady beat of my Momma's loving heart, almost immediately began trying to jam with the musical vibes around me. What to others sounded like gurgles and belches were in fact the results of my earliest musical self-expression. Perhaps unrefined, atonal, and polyrhythmic, these efforts remain some of the work of which I am most proud. I love playing with The Brian Waite Band by day. By night I can be found playing Jazz, Rock, and Latin music. I have toured with the Glen Miller Jazz Orchestra, directed the Princeton University Jazz Ensemble, and backed up jazz great such as Dizzy Gillespie and Randy Becker. I am currently a member of the Seattle bands Megabopolis and Cambalache. My inspiration comes from the incredible musicians I have been able to hear and play with, the audiences I am able to share music with, and most of all my two beautiful boys Dylan and Jack, and my wife, the earth goddess, Nelda.
